Alicia is our oldest (and most elegant) doe.  She is long, extremely tall and just beautiful.  She was our last purchased addition to the herd, and we've waited for two years for doe kids from her but so far no luck, although she's given us 4 georgeous buck kids. We retained one of her 2010 bucks, Aristotle, and bred him to Jetaime for 2011 kids.  Our senior buck, Atticus, is also one of Alicia's grandson's, so her influence is being heavily felt in our herd, even though not through a doe line.  We're still hoping though.

Alica is the dam to the beautiful Abbey Road and grandmother to Antoinette (both from the Dixie-Does
herd.)  Both Abbey Road and Antoinette have done very well in the show ring and are Grand Champion does.  Antoinette is also full sister to our buck, Atticus.

Mikey is a four-year old doe and the second oldest in the herd.  She freshened as a yearling with two black daughters, (one has a white face).  In 2010 she freshened with QUADS, three does and a buck.  We retained her black doe, Holly, in our herd. (She can be viewed on the junior doe page.)  Mikey milked 14-16 pounds per day last year at her peak.  She is a smaller doe and is extremely easy to handle. Her teats are long and great for people who don't like to milk does with short teats!  Her daughter Miley, below, is a second freshner is our herd and is my very favorite doe to milk.  Her teats are large, but not too large and the milk orifices are big and she milks out super fast.

Jetaime is a lovely doe who was shown as a kid and was a grand champion at that show.  She has kidded twice for us, the first year she had two bucks and last year she had a buck and a doe.  We retained the doe, (Jada).  She was bred to Alicia's buck kid, Aristotle, this year for March kids. She has a well-attached udder and easily milks 1.5 gallons per day.  Her teats are shorter, but large and she's very easy to milk out.

Miley is a cute little black doe with a white face.  This year she kidded with a doe and a buck that is an exact copy of her!  The last two years we bred her back to her sire, Atticus, and she threw the most strikingly marked kids we've ever had!  We'll freshen her doe kid, Ciara, in June and am really excited to see what her udder looks like!  Miley has a nicely attached udder similar to her dams with longer teats, but hers are rounder and the orifices bigger and she is the fastest and easiest doe to milk in the herd.  I save her to milk till last when my hands are tired.....I wish every doe were this easy to milk....no one would ever want a machine!  Miley peaked at about about 11-12 pounds per day last year.  She's a smaller doe, easy to handle with a wonderful, QUIET temperment!
